Chris, I generated enough subprime customers through my website and third party display advertising.  It has been a couple of years since I was an Internet Director, but I didn't have lending sources, at the time, where I could sell a car and actually make money.  What little they would finance and the huge fees sucked the gross out of the sale.  I hope that it has changed.

There was a time when I aggressively went out for that business.  It was a large percentage of our business.  So many of those lenders have gone out of business.  It reached the point where we couldn't hang one out of ten.  I was in a store with limited resources.  Every extra phone, computer drop and workstation was being used by my department.  I had a dozen ISMs that were elbow to elbow in one room.  We didn't want to mess with it.
