We had a 3rd party video vendor "accidentally" delete all of our videos on our YouTube channel after cancellation of our contract. The vendor was deleting their videos as they should however they also deleted all of our videos from 2008 to now. My question to you all is have you ever experienced something similar and what value can be put on your years of work now gone. How long if ever will it take to get back up to where we once were? Do you add all of the videos from your library and attempt to build back up or does that hurt your image?
We are meeting with the vendor and while I know this is priceless I really want to drive in on the loss this has caused us.
Looking forward to any words of advice.

I think you need to build your library back up for any videos that might still be relevant today. For example, if you had a video from 5 years ago showing how to sync your phone to the Bluetooth in a 2010 (Make) (Model), this would still be searched today and would still have value.
As far a putting a price on this "accident" ... Wow, that seems impossible without knowing the number of views each of these videos received over the years and if they were frequently served up by YouTube as recommended. Even then, as you wrote, it's priceless.
More than anything, I would recommend outing the vendor in question. This does not seem like an accident to me, and there is no place for vendors who overreact to cancellations in any dealership.
Youtube may have archive back-ups as a safeguard against something like this so you will need to contact them.
