Today, in our industry, new technology allows us to track active auto shoppers in real time, enabling us to see trends, analyze shopper behavior, and actually predict and forecast what vehicles will be selling in the weeks and months ahead. Dealers have never before had the ability to “see” into a shopper’s mindset during their shopping session by looking at every click and keystroke before they ever send a lead, if they send one at all. Now, dealers can better align their inventory, marketing, incentives and sales pitches to each shopper based on where they are in their shopping cycle. By collecting, analyzing and reporting this data, we can now proactively adapt to these trends and behaviors well before the shopper reaches your dealership or website. Having this knowledge allows us to make better and safer decisions on every facet of your dealership’s on-line efforts.
Presenter: Jason Ezell
With almost 25 years experience in the automotive industry, Jason first managed dealerships for over 8 years before being invited to join Autotrader.com’s first sales team after its inception in 1998/99. He then started one of the most unique and respected website companies in the industry. As a member of JD Power’s Internet Round Table, an NADA 20 Group Preferred Speaker and a Digital Dealer Conference Speaker, to writing for several industry magazines for years, Ezell is well known as an expert in automotive Internet for his statistical approach to analyzing user data to better understand how to sell cars on the Internet. Ezell is currently President and Co-Founder of Dataium LLC, the largest aggregator of auto shopper behavior data in the industry.
