Dear Dealer Elite Members,

With April being National Car Care Month, I will get a head start on a few questions on car care maintenance. This does not have to do with mechanics or our service departments directly at dealerships or independent, but the best car care products out there. I will only be asking about those that are not from an original manufacturer in this post for the sake of simplicity. For the most part, I don't have a problem with generics, but I will talk about the more expensive ones that are worth it. One area that I won't cut costs on are tires. I am very loyal to Yokohama or Michelin. Since only the tires touch the ground, I have noticed the difference that tires are worth the extra money when you use the right ones. I have also found Invisible Glass to be worth the money to clean interior glass of the car.

My questions:

While Armor All works pretty well, is there a better product to use on plastic/vinyl for UV protection?

What is the best tire gloss to use that you have found? Note that it must be water repellent to be worth it for me. Also, what is the best way to apply it? As in a cloth towel, spray on, or disposable wipe.

What is the best wax to use?

What is the best oxidation (or white spots on the paint) remover?

At what point is it worth the money to use synthetic oils and what are the top 3-5 reasons to convince someone to switch to synthetics?

What windshield wipers have you found to be the best?

Although conditions vary, when is it worth it to get alignment for the average car?
