AutoMax Recruiting And Training has launched an aggressive online initiative, that utilizes a comprehensive set of online tools, to bring both awareness and aid to the growing need of finding work for US Military Vets.

“As some 40,000 troops have returned home this holiday season,” says Craig Lockerd, CEO of Automax Recruiting And Training. “Many of the brave men and women that fought for our freedom will be transitioning into the civilian workforce, some for the first time.”

To help meet the demand, AutoMax Recruiting And Training developed a vets only job board at OnlineVetJobs.comfor returning vets and employers looking to hire them. Each job posting will be fed to multiple other job boards including the Veteran Job Bank.

“We didn’t stop there though,” says Craig Lockerd. “We are taking it a step further and have started dozens of conversations, all over the internet, mostly with auto dealers, about the importance of hiring US Military Vets. The response has been overwhelmingly positive and we’ve already began a few campaigns to fill job openings with veteran job seekers.”

OnlineVetJobs.com is more than a military job board, it will also house a comprehensive collection of information for both businesses that want to fill their job openings with US Military Vets and the actual vets themselves. For instance, for those businesses that want to take part in the VOW To Hire Heroes Act, that President Barack Obama signed into law on the 21st of November, can find all the info they need to take advantage of up to $9,600 in tax credit, for each US Military Vet they hire.

“I’ve recruited, hired and trained thousands of people in the auto industry,” says Craig Lockerd. “And I’ve noticed, with all things being equal, that retired US Military Vets make some of the best employees. For one, they know how to work as part of a team, secondly they know how to lead, but above all they are dedicated to getting the job done right.”

At OnlineVetJobs.com, a retired military vet can sign up for job alerts, post their resume and let the technology behind the site bring employers to them, all to ensure a smooth transition back into the civilian workforce. Also, to ensure complete transparency, each employer will have a comprehensive profile that the veteran can look at to learn more about a particular company.

OnlineVetJobs.comwill remain open for employers to find the right US Military Vet candidates, by allowing them to post their job openings for free. AutoMax Recruiting And Train also offers, to auto dealers, a completely hands off, turnkey approach, where they will handle all the work by writing the job ads, calling each vet candidate, setting up a time for the interview, conduct the actual interview and screening process, as well as offer a complete initial training package, all to ensure a perfect fit.

A true "Social Cause"...Dealers,any employer looking to Hire a Vet can post for FREE...any Vet looking for work can post their resume for free! Just got word from the National Veteran Job Bank, they will also be picking up the jobs posted from this board...

That's awesome news Craig! It's good to see AutoMax leading the charge to help our veterans transition back into the civilian workforce.

Thanks David, short story....last night when Ernie,Joanna and I were leaving Atlanta from IBPVIII,two servicemen waiting at the gate to take the same flight,Ernie and I went over, thanked them for their service and I gave the one a business card and told him when he got back,we would be there to help him get a job if he needed us......very cool moment!

I bet it made a big impact on him. What you're doing is letting our soldiers know that they have somebody on their side when their mission is compete. Thank you!

To fill job openings with veteran is really a great public service. Veteran's are real job seekers needing our help. We all need to do our part when they return home and find them work.

Right you are rick....and www.onlinevetjobs.com is also open for any vet to post their resume as well!

Considering the men and women in our armed services choose to make the decision to join, which could ultimately lead to perilous situations where their life is on the line defending and protecting our freedoms, making it easier for them to gain employment when they return from service is at least one small way to say thank you.  All dealers, all positions, all industries may post help wanted advertising.  Let's help our servicemen and women as they have surely helped us.

Agree 100% Ernie....and....there are tax credits available.....and it's FREE!!!

Right you are Rod,everyone wins!

Service men and women are a valuable asset to any store.  They already have the character, drive, and determination that it takes to succeed in the Automotive Industry.

This is truly a wonderful way to Pay it Forward!!!

I agree Joe,if I owned a store I would certainly look there first, outstanding talent pool available....and...the job board is free to post on and....if you hire a vet there are potential tax credits that are pretty substantial!
