Being from the metro NY area and working at those stores in the past I can tell you that if you are looking to be an Internet/BDC Manager or a director that those are not the areas to go. In my travels I encountered the biggest egos in our industry. It is tough to implement good processes because everyone thinks they know everything. Also, the patience level of getting things up and running is very light out here. The cost of living is ridiculously expensive and you are way more unsure of what your future is like. I have thought so many times about leaving the area for better opportunities. Good luck to you in your searches.
If you get with a store that pays right and sets you up right you can make up to $120-140k. Some stores will cap you at $70k. If you take a 6 figure position, expect that these NY dealers are going to want you to show them magic within 60 days.

Realistically, what is the pay range for a BDC rep in manhattan? Great or Piss Poor?
