Cars.com is looking for a Dealer Training Manager to join the growing sales training group!
- Coordinate and deliver high quality classroom-style, internet-based, and in-field training sessions for clients around the country
- Develop and deliver high quality training courses in a range of business-related subject matter
- Work closely with sales management, affiliate management and executive leadership to ensure training investments have the desired business impact
- Assess and improve current training programs with the team
- Assess internal participant skill levels and competencies by conducting needs analyses, monitoring participant progress during training, implementing program changes, and tracking results
- Conduct and speak at various industry events, OEM events, market training, major account events and local dealer group training
- Coach clients and prospects to increase sales effectiveness on site as well as via video and through the DealerADvantage program
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of company products, services, programs, and core skills as well as competitive knowledge
- Work effectively with the Dealer Training Team as well as the Sales Training Team
- Other duties assigned by manager
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and presentation skills: one on one as well as group
- High proficiency in Internet functions and Microsoft Office software, including PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to travel up to 80% throughout the United States
Required Experience
- BS/BA in Business or related field equivalent
- 5+ years of automotive industry sales and management experience
- Training delivery experience a must
- Advertising experience is a plus
