I'm looking for expert advise on how to begin buying microsites and how to manage them properly to maximize SEO. Also, we pay for basic SEO but wanted to know the benefits/success stories of dealers paying for advanced SEO based on keywords that drive the most traffic to their website. We are a Nissan dealer in SC with a lot of success with SEM/SEO/retargeting/branding but have not yet started our Microsite/advanced SEO strategies. What are the best companies that offer support in these two categories? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Brian Pasch is a must talk to regarding advanced SEO. Have you talked with him or anyone on his team yet?
I've read a lot of his discussions and articles but never spoken to him. Good suggestions, thanks.
Ditto. Brian and his PCG Team are on top of automotive SEO. I am confident he (they) will take the time to speak with you about your strategy whether you use their services or not. Good Selling, DTG

Microsites are a pretty antiquated SEO tactic that doesn't really work anymore. After Google's Penguin update, you're definitely much better off building one quality site with helpful, relevant content. Plus, it's much easier to build authority on one site than it is on 10 small ones.
I work for a 18 store dealer group and the company we use is Local Search Group and they have done a really great job. The traffic they have driven to our sites is better and our cost per click has decreased. They have just updated their SEO packages with Googles recent changes and have had great success. What our GM's have enjoyed is the reporting because they tell you exactly what your money is being spent on to the penny. Send me your contact info and I will have our Rep call you. It wont be a waist of your time.
Pat,
We just started doing a used car SEM campaign and pre-roll video with them. I'll reach out to Laura about there support for these things. Thanks.
I would say this has to be the best advice (among many TOUGH choices) on the page.
What separates LSG from the others in your opinion?
In my opinion, Pat said what it would take to sell me (we're all sellin' right?). And I know enough about this topic to know when someone knows what they're talking about.
But specifically because Pat touched on what I need to know immediately to make a choice to at least check it out. Here's the reason's:
So if you're like most of us, you'll appreciate saving time if nothing else. And I am not affiliated in any way with nor have I ever heard of LSG before making the previous comment.
I don't see your reply Timothy. Please re-post it. Thanks.
Hey Tom, I think because I am a vendor DE will not allow me to post here, though from the post below, I don't know why that would be the case. I was offering an explanation of how to hold vendors accountable and even a free tool you can use to do so. If you would like to discuss in another forum you can e-mail me tim@wikimotive.com
Hopefully they will let this post stay up..

Happy to help Tom. One of the most important aspects we teach clients is how to hold vendors accountable. There is a free online resource by HubSpot called Marketing Grader. You can use this to plug in your website and it will evaluate it and many of your other online resources to give you a nice overview on what is and is not working.
Something to think about is running the company that provides your website in the marketing grader! After all, if they can't market themselves, what are the chances they will be great at marketing you?
