Hello all, First off i wanna say thanks to everybody on here willing to give advice and willing to help, i have learned so much from this site alone. Today makes 1 month i have been in sales, I absolutly love it, that being said i was fired this morning! Was a shock to me for i thought i was doing well. from the first day i was motivated to do anything i needed to do to be successful in this business, my problem was i took it to far. every spare minute i had at the dealership i used to research or learn what i was doing wrong and how to fix it ex. customer hit me with well i like this car but im gonna look around and ill comeback later. i didnt know what to say so i would go inside return the keys and go straight to the computer and figure out what i could say next time that comes up. Where i went wrong was not being social to the rest of the sales staff, i never talked to them because i was so focused on learning, The reasoning for me being fired was i come across to the rest of the sales staff as "being Negative". which im not in no way, just super determined to be a 30 car salesman in under a year. This morning out of nowhere we have a bdc, i didnt know what a bdc was, never heard of it, well it changed the current training i was doing and i was curious of how to work off the bdc and what i needed to do to max production, my questions off curiosity rubbed off as negativity to the rest of the team an was fired soon as the meeting was over. Theres my story, now my advice take the time to socialize with the rest of the team, if your like me and eager to learn, make sure you make time to talk to everybody there so they dont mistake you for something your not. This was a learning experience for me and i hope this helps somebody out there. I am determined to be a successful car salesman, this is just a small setback.
