I was training at Midlands Honda for two weeks in Janusry. Brandon sold 31 cars his first month. What do you think he did to sell so many cars?

Talked to 31 folks as 'people' and not as 'ups'?

Unlike the fool who gave you a smart ass reply, I'll offer up what I think he probably did.

 

1. He got on the phone and called the dealerships owner base.

2. He had a game plan which was provided by you and he came to work motivated and stuck to the game plan.

3. His positive attitude fueled his success.

 

Talking to 300 people would imply he had a 10% closing ratio.  I am quite confident one of your trainees would be better than that.

 I don't know if he talked to 300 people on the phone or as ups but he worked every day. This young man went out and got some on his own.  Yes he had a game plan to sell one a day and worked it every day. Thank you Mr Thibeau training works.

You know how I feel about you, so don't act surprised.  I've never seen you offer any solid advice on these forums.  You either agree with people or insult them.  Perhaps one day we'll see some original material from Steve Richards.

 I usually don't say much on here. Seems like a lot of venders are sayind how good they are and making nice comments to each other. I will share facts. Who they are and where they are. No grey areas at all. I'am not trying to sell any thing but share there is some good things happening out there.

 I thought it would be nice to share some real success with all of you. I can't take the credit for training Brandon but have helped him some. Rangy Threatt the GM has them doing 20 calls, 20 mailers and 20 internet leads a day. What dealership wouldn't do good with this process?

 Brandon probally talked to 1000 people or more that month. I told him he has to contact 10 people outside the dealership every day. He said I will do 15 at least. He goes on a 16 mile demo every time instead of a average 6 to 7 miles most sales reps do. This store doesn't need Fran Taylor to be successful. I'am glad that they use us to improve.

 Brandon has a few more things working for him. What are they. Thank you.

 There are qualities that can't always be taught in car salesman but it seems like you get the best out of those you work with. Great Job Fran!

Brandon believes he will succeed, and that's his real secret.  He also knows what he doesn't know, and so he compensates with enthusiasm and sticking to a proven process.  Where his focus goes the energy flows.  Without knowing Brandon, I'll bet he is also genuine, caring, disciplined, confident (but not cocky), and high energy but fully present in every conversation.  I'll bet he starts out the day envisioning an easy flow of fruitful and uplifting conversations, a bursting pipeline, eager, friendly, and qualified customers, rich rewards (monetary as well as mental and emotional), and a great sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.  I'll also bet he is grateful for the people teaching him as well as his customers.  That's just my guess.  I may be wrong, but if I am and he adopts those traits, along with whatever it is that he is doing, he'll be unstoppable.
Yes Gretchen Brandon has a lot of energy and is thankful for what he has learned. Believe it or not he is a quiet guy. Doesn't talk to the other sales people much. He just works. He has a desire to be the best. I'am not sure if you can teach that. Thank you.
