ONLINE VIDEO- The most effective way of selling cars online! Online virtual video verses video demonstrations produced by a sales consultant?
Video with animated voice over technology is a very power and accurate way of posting vehicles.
On the other hand, the enthusiasm of a sales consultant providing a video walk around is truly creating emotion.
Of the two methods provided, what are the pros and cons of each?

We utilize a program where we respond to every incoming inquiry with video. We also send video walkarounds done by salespeople. When we do so we have great success and have had many instances where the customer has made a deposit immediately and scheduled a time to come in and pick up the car.
We use a service from www.quickvidconnect.com which makes the sending of video email really easy. We also get a notification when the video is viewed so we can call the customer right away. The customer always seems surprised at that seeming coincidence.
We do have videos posted with motion applied to still pictures and animated voice over technology. It fails for it's lack of the human element. We also create custom videos promoting different vehicles which we post on youtube and various social networking sites. This link is to our most succesful one so far http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGT9JBIT-1Y
We've sold a couple of cars from that video and have several appointments set for this week as a result of that video and it just went up Friday afternoon.
According to our google analytics the video emails we send have become one of the highest referring sources to our site, second only to organic search results. Below is what our customers see when they preview their email.

I use music in my videos… There are a lot of things you can say about each vehicle – but if it doesn't appeal to the individual needs of the viewer; there is always the possibility of it doing more harm than good. I do have one video, in which I introduce myself and extend an invitation to visit my website or call me directly. My videos, are simply an invitation to visit my website and eventually make the call to meet with me in-person. To me, they are powerful prospecting tool – Nothing more, nothing less.

The animated and voice over videos are being used by almost everyone these days. It's nice to have and will draw a person in to submit a lead on your site. But as I mentioned there aren't to many sites that do not already have a version of this available.
However as you mentioned nothing creates emotion or excitement like a personal video right from the sales rep. Nothing closes a phone up or internet lead like having a personal greeting and walk aorund video highlighting the customers mentioned hot buttons. The downside most sales will complain about is time. However, if prepped right your 2-3 minute walk around video is shot and sent in 8-9 minutes or less.
Personal video is the way to go!
I am enjoying reading everyones post on this. Video Messaging makes it personable and lets down the guards of the customer! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qNbHCxuOiM&feature=autofb

Holy !@#$ that service is expensive. I don't believe video email has to be that much (although it looks great), especially when YouTube is free. I have also used Eyejot very extensively and they EVEN have a new service that allows you to send video emails from your iPhone on the go! Their top level service is only $99 per year!

Eyejot is very inexpensive. We used a pro plus account for awhile but find there is so much more to the quickvid product that eyejot doesn't offer. Like the icon with the person waving, custom templates and multiple generic templates which can all have their own custom links.
These videos will play in iphones, droids and blackberries too.
On their site is a video demo of the back end stuff. No comparison to eyejot.
In addition the management reporting and the ability to utilize with our crm and many other features make worth the price. We have the 6 user plan in two stores.
We can upload HD video and send it out in video email too like this one. It's a fun video that one of our employees (it's him in the video) wrote and we produced in house.
