Does anyone have any tips on just the basics of internet sales? I'm brand new, and trying to get into my own groove, but I've heard messege boards like this are a great tool for ideas and contacts. I'm updating our websites, keeping specials current and ever changing, and anything else I can think of. The biggest thing I'm running into is just straight avoidance from all the internet leads I've been receiving.

Greetings Andrew,

The Internet department is a very instrumental part of a dealership, and what an awesome opportunity you have sitting right in front of you!

What kind of experience do you have prior to accepting this position and at what stage in the game are you with your Internet department?

What lead providers, website company, social networking, craigslist/backpage posting technology are you using? There are many different ways to skin a cat as they say, and truly it's not rocket science if the foundation of your department is solid.

One of the absolute most important aspects is to know what your near by competitors are quoting in regards to price comparison and the value in their responses to customers.

When you know your competition, you will then have the ability to sell a better value combined with competitive pricing...

Great way to reach out!!! B.C.
