I know that this greeting is cause a lot of people here to flare up and exclaim "that's ridiculous!".
It's my belief that too many (almost all) sales people and managers do the things they do because it what's they THINK is most effective. The problem is we tend to think of the sales process from our perspective and not the buyers.
Put yourself in a buyer's shoes and really consider how you would react to this greeting. That's probably going to be difficult for lots of the members here.
