What is the right mix for a realistic auto salespersons pay plan?

I am trying come up with a pay plan for our sales people that is realistic, along with a schedule of work hours that is a little more flexible than the traditional ones.

I would appreciate any imput you may have in this area, as it is a sticky one.

Tina,

Hello I just want to share a little of what I do for my sales force and if you want to know more you can contact me later.

For example all of the sales force gets their day off a week and they also get a weekend (Fri and Sat) off a month.

The pay plan that I found that works is 25% commission up to $10000, 28% up to $12500, 30% up to $15000, 32% over $15000 and 35% for $20000 and more.

I have all kinds of bonuses like sales of the month $500, 2nd place $250, highest frontend gross $100, highest over all gross $100, $25 cash in fist for all warranties that their customers buy

This is a little example of what I do for my sales force if it sounds like something that might interest you contact me at dalelivingston63@gmail.com and we will go over everything more indepth.

                               Good Luck

I've found that fast cash is a great motivator.

The old saying is a Sales person would prefer a $100.00 spiff now rather than wait for a $200.00 commission.

In my experience the more you can motivate your sales team for right now results, the more results you will have right now.

The key is to treat everyday as if it were the biggest sale day of the year, and you will find that you're having the biggest sale days of the year - everyday.

I suggest that you take into consideration when creating pay plans, a spiff account that you can keep the team pumped up with daily...
