Technologies that will monetize social media in a quantifiable qualified manner with verifiable R.O.I. and anything that will provide inventory management efficiencies in both retail inventory management and wholesale acquisitions. Fixed operations will also demand more focus than vehicle sales as far as new processes and related technology driven solutions.
Geo-Target Marketing. This is going to replace Television, Radio and Newpaper. The ability to have your digital presence move to the thousands of directories that make up the web in your market area.
This is not SEO. (SEO on it's own is a failing endeavor) This is not keyword buys. (keywords on their own are time consuming and expensive.) This in not placing a banner here or there. (but thousands of banners intuitively placed)

Craig, I agree with the increased role and value of Geo-Target Marketing however our answers may be more alike than some DealerElite members may realize. Social media with GPS integration is already accomodating messaging based on real time locations and the conversations are becoming more location centric than ever before! Of course I know that localized online marketing spans many channels but social media is still a high speed lane on the Internet Super Highway that has already replaced conventional media and many more conventional online lanes.

Hey Roberto, Make that an Ipad, Itouch, IPhone or other PDA like device with a large screen interface that can be shared with a customer on the showroom floor and once again -- I agree! Frankly, that is why I took on http://IntellaCar.Com as a client!

UpLead Technology hands down. I'm not saying this because I'm part of this organization but it's truly unique and one of a kind to our industry. Let's face it...some salespeople don't like prospecting. our technology takes the prospecting out of prosepcting so there is never a need for fear of confrontation from the consumer and the salesperson has a warm lead at the very height of their interest. Although we are not a tracking company as we are a lead company we do posess the ability to identify where your advertising dollars are being best spent as our system captures where the leads are coming from i.e. Window Sticker, Website, Newspaper, Cars.com, Auto Trader, Edmunds.com, AutoExtra, T.V.,Radio etc...After having Uplead Technology in the dealership they are going to know who they should keep advertising with and with whom they should stop doing business with in essence saving them thousands of dollars each month while increasing their new and used sales along with fixed op's by as much as 200 to 400% a month! Providing customers with what they want. They want the car shopping experience to be easier and less stressful.

Easier - Mobile shopping in 2011 is a must. If you don't have your inventory in a friendly mobile format your competition will have an advantage. A great majority of car buyers today want to shop online to find the vehicle, find the best price, and then meet the dealer.

Less Stressful - Making it easier to shop online reduces stress. But the number one stress point for a car buyer is still the negotiation process. They want a good deal and getting that good deal can be very stressful. Allowing the car buyer to negotiate and make an offer with their mobile device or online will become a favorite option for car buyers in 2011.
