WE ARE TREATED LIKE ADULTS. GIVEN THE TOOLS, DIRECTION AND TRAINING TO DO OUR JOB. THE DEALER SUPPORTS OUR EFFORTS. OUR FOCUS IS EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION WHICH FLOWS DOWNHILL TO THE CUSTOMER IN THE FORM OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.
A dealership where management and employees are in alignment on what is good for the business and what is good for employees. A great place to work has highly engaged employees who understand what is required of them at work, have the tools and training to do the work, do what they do best everyday, receive praise on a regular basis and have the opportunity for advancement if they so chose. Management provides clear direction as to the goals of the business, how those goals with be achieved and the support structure for employees to achieve the goals. Communication is open and honest between management and employees. Market or above level pay and good benefits are icing on the cake.
You got a good grip on it kathryn. I like the " Communication is open and honest between management and employees."

The best dwalerships reall treat their employees as partners, they hire the best and keep the best. No one sale is worth the dealerships reprutation
There are several key factors that make a dealership the one that everyone wants to work at. Lets look at a few. Dealership-Having a nice, new, clean state of the art store will always attract top sales people. Training- A consistent weekly training program that revolves around the sales staff. One that gentle pushes them to exceed, to expand, and to become true sales professionals, as apposed to being order takers. Pay Plan- Having a solid, consistent pay plan that rewards sales people for performance. Policy & Procedures- Everyone needs a solid direction, and firm understanding of the policies and procedures in the dealership. Being flexible in this area will break down your dealership quickly. People- Knowing how to recruit the right people for your dealership is the key. This is very hard at times and may take some time to get it right. The right people make the difference in the dealership. Managers- This one is very important. I recommend looking for and hiring managers that truly know and practice everyday on the art and skill of being a sales manager. Sales managers are teachers, leaders, coaches, motivators, mentors. These skills in a sales manager are what set a sales team apart from others. When your sales managers make a difference in a sales person life, that sales person grows, and is able to share the experience with there families. When you show your sales people how much you care, they will commit to you, they will sell more, they will make more gross, and they will stay with you for many years to come.
