Hello all, I recently launched an automotive CRM www.dieselCRM.com my development is going very fast and what to start adding features that dealers need but don't have with their current CRM.
Since I do not want to add allot of clutter and things that will not be used, I wanted to see if I can get a wish list.
What are a few features that you would like to have but your current CRM does not or will not offer?
Thanks
Ruben

Hi Ruben...Having used about ten different C.R.M.'s over the years, not only in the car business, but in several other areas as well, I think I have a pretty good idea about what is going on here. My general observation is that many of them are quite robust, but are lacking in user friendliness...big time! They all seem to have been built by HTML coding gurus, with zero knowledge of what it's like to sit in front of one all day.
My guys are using the ADP answer to this issue, and I gotta tell you........IT SUCKS!!!! big time! The people who put this together have no idea what its like actually use one. For instance: to make a phone call to a number and leave a voice mail message takes 7,281 clicks to record this single operation. If you make 100 calls a day, thats over 7.25 MILLION clicks per day.
I mean these guys could really use my help. ADP affectionately calls their CRM "CRM". They say things like "CRM wants you to go to the email tab." They personify the thing...its crazy. These guys need help. You cant even select a group of contacts and send them an email...you have to set up a campaign to send a bulk email...It's crazy
I would love to see your stuff. Sadly, I don't think there is any way to merge what we've got with anything else.

Wow GREAT feedback Mr.Natural. I know exactly what you mean. I am mainly a soft guy who has never worked in a dealership but worked in a CRM company for over 5 years, supporting the end user (BDC department, Salesmen, Catalyst, etc) and I would here what they wanted and we couldn't offer.
Unlike most software guys I do not read user guides, you give me any product I start playing with it and after a few minute if I can't figure it out, well I lose interest. So I agree with you that it needs to be user friendly, lets face it dealer don't want to pay for something then lose productivity for their team to learn to use a new product.
This is one of the reason I did not want to clutter the software with unwanted things, and its easy when I have no one but the customer to answer to (since its my company)
I have also added "tags" to keep the clutter to a min, (e.g. a customer wants a car but has bad credit, simply type the word Co-Buyer and the Co-Buyer field populates. You can add as many custom fields as needed.
I am in the beginning stages and I want to make sure I get it right, and only add things that will be useful.
Mr.Natural I am in the process of adding a few more functions but when its done it you are interested I can set you up with a temp logon and would love to get your feedback.
EMail me if interested ruben@dieselcrm.com
And Again Thank You for your feedback,
Cheers
Ruben
