With proper training Doug sold over forty cars his first two months in the business.

Doug is in a small town in PA and I had the pleasure to help train him. There are 5 critical areas I think that helped him the most. What do you think are the main reasons that he sold over forty cars in his first two months in the business?

I just talked with Doug and he said the one thing he has that he is using is a daily plan. He tole me he is sticking to it because that is what the manager said. Nice to see a sales person follow the leader. What else do you thing he is doing to sell 40 in his first two months?
He's too new to act like a car salesman. He's probably polite and attentive to the prospects. He hasn't been trained by one of the "industry experts" who ruin sales people. Hopefully, you did a good job making sure he understands that the less he acts like a sterotypical car salesman the better he'll do. Further I'm guessing that the dealership he works with doesn't employ the standard management-centric sales process which is offensive and inefficient. Or he's not paying any attention to the sales process!
