2Ti 1:9

Who hath saved us, and called [us] with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

God has saved us from hell death and destruction and Given a holy calling. Holy is from greek word

hagios-most holy thing comes form greek word- hagos (an awful thing) !

Before we were saved we were an awful thing and now are Holy by the blood of Jesus which has cleansed us spirit soul and body!!!!! Our own works are what makes us hagos -(awful) but his purpose and grace empower us to do His will, which was given to us before we ever existed in this physical age. Manifest Holiness is walking in His purpose and grace, we need his power to walk in this. This is accomplished by the Holy Spirit that dwells within us and empowers us to worship Him.

2Ti 1:14

That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.

We have no reason to ever live in defeat for we have the Holy Spirit with us. Every time we walk into a situation if we are living in obedience of His will we need to trust of God because we know we have the power of God and are one with God if we are walking according to faith. There is no reason to have fear because God always causes us to triumph.

2Cr 2:14   Now thanks [be] unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

We are the bride of Christ and reign in patnership with Him. One of the ways the term knowledge is understood in greek culture is the intimacy like a man and a women. To walk in His will and triumph we need to know Jesus intamately not only in triumph but suffering!!!

in·ti·mate 1  (nt-mt)
adj.
1. Marked by close acquaintance, association, or familiarity.
2. Relating to or indicative of one's deepest nature: intimate prayers.
3. Essential; innermost: the intimate structure of matter.
4. Very personal; private: an intimate letter.
5. Of or involved in a sexual relationship.

The question is do we want to know Him in the fellowship of sufferings as well as the power of ressurection? Because to know Jesus intimately there is a suffering but e the greater the suffering the greater the victory AMEN!!!!!

Phl 3:10   That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

There is a Great story about John after his return from being exiled and upon hearing that a young man that he had led to the Lord was back running with a group of trouble makers. John sought him out and upon speaking with him brought the young man back to serving Christ. John demonstrated the gift of love to this young man the same as Christ demonstrarted love to us on Calvary. Remember John's words as others were pressing him as to what they should do ," LOVE ONE ANOTHER". If we all got that right, the Lord would be well pleased!
