R U a Noun or Verb Christian?

What is your faith like...is it a noun, a thing, or a verb, something in action to which others might point and remark there is something "different" about you.

This is not an academic exercise. There is nothing that Jesus preached or His apostles wrote about faith and following Christ that is not verb-oriented. Yes, faith itself is a noun, but as James says, faith without works is dead. Please do not read this to mean works = salvation. Scripture is very clear that salvation is by faith alone.

So, what do we mean by being a Verb Christian? Is it attending church or tithing or donating time and money to charity...or taking care of an elder relative? These are all good things we all should do, if presented with the opportunity. Church attendance by itself simply says the individual attends church -- it reveals nothing about their changed heart, their obedience to Christ's commands or their submission of their ego/themselves/stuff/TV/sport/business to God and to others (especially their spouse).

Welcome, Nancy. The industry needs sales consultants that are honest, committed to serving, transparent, looking out for the customers' best interests and genuine. Glad you are setting an excellent example in your Dealership. Go forward and shine God's love. People respond very favorably to it.

Nancy -- Selling cars is a great opportunity for people to see a righteous walk...integrity based on the truth can work in any industry. Your light obviously shines in the darkness -- keep it up!

As the Director of Religious Education at my parish, I have been involved in ministry for the past 23 years. It is funny that most folks can never understand how someone with such a strong faith as myself could be "selling cars"! I have to laugh every time I see the expression on their faces... Everything I do and have done all my life is based on integrity and a sincere love of people and desire to help them in life. Like threads of a fabric, I have woven the yarn of my secular life and my spiritual life to be as one; It is the DNA of who I am. I do not hide behind a mask and try to be someone else at work or in my ministry. This honesty shines through and has proven to assist me in building relationships based on trust with everyone I meet. I am truly blessed to have found such wonderful people here who share my passion and devotion to carry out the Lord's work. I am, however, very respectful of each and every person's individual beliefs and I do not believe in criticizing, imposing or degrading anyone for what they choose to believe.

Vinnie Welcome to the group. Sorry for the delay as I have been on vacation over the past two weeks. Sounds like you are just down the road from us here in Pleasanton. Have a blessed week. Gary

Last night I was fortunate to find on TV "The Greatest story over told" Jesus is amazing! A film produced from 1965 made such a huge impact on me last night! Our god is an awesome god!

The most powerful weapon we have is our tongue both good and evil can come from it. I ask the Lord on a daily basis for his wisdom and strength to control my emotions and feelings. We must pray for our enemies salvation; We are not perfect even sometimes we stray away from our own beliefs and repent later. Jesus is married to the back slider im glad my relationship is with him. I can honestley say that I have tried to do it on my own strength and have failed. I can testify that after getting back into the word and reading scriptures I was attacked by the enemy. The lesson was easy and simple; if you live in the World and not the spirtit you are open to the world and the Evil in it. As a driven young individual with 10 years automotive retail experience I have the knowledge of a GM and will continue to learn everyday. Others have lashed back at me in the past I pray for their salvation and the well being of their family.

"Sit at My right hand Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet."

Live for Him and he will Live for You. As a christains we are not perfect, and we will make mistakes only to learn from them and be better for it.

Have a blessed day

Today I may be the only Bible some people may ever read. I seem to share the Gospel better through attraction not promotion. When my coworkers look at me, what do they see. I pray today they see the Sprit of Jesus.

Welcome, Vinnie. Glad to hear that you're allowing the Lord to raise you up to be a Godly man, husband and father. Trust in Him and He'll bless you immensely.
