What is your faith like...is it a noun, a thing, or a verb, something in action to which others might point and remark there is something "different" about you.
This is not an academic exercise. There is nothing that Jesus preached or His apostles wrote about faith and following Christ that is not verb-oriented. Yes, faith itself is a noun, but as James says, faith without works is dead. Please do not read this to mean works = salvation. Scripture is very clear that salvation is by faith alone.
So, what do we mean by being a Verb Christian? Is it attending church or tithing or donating time and money to charity...or taking care of an elder relative? These are all good things we all should do, if presented with the opportunity. Church attendance by itself simply says the individual attends church -- it reveals nothing about their changed heart, their obedience to Christ's commands or their submission of their ego/themselves/stuff/TV/sport/business to God and to others (especially their spouse).

Fran, I think you have to be led by the Spirit. I have been very open about my faith. I've quoted scripture on that Facebook F&I managers discussion group--I know you and others of us in this group participate in that forum. I'm an opportunist and tend to prefer erring on the side of sharing the gospel. But I also want to be sensitive to unbelievers. I might test the waters and mention something about going to church or come right out and say I'm a Christian if the conversation lends itself to that. Depending on the reaction, I might bring it up again or drop it. We have to love people and that means we don't pressure them to think our way and we entrust them to God in prayer. The general rule Jesus gave those He sent out in Luke 10 was that those who listen to us listen to Him. So if people stop listening, I stop talking. But if they're willing to listen I just keep right on going!
