Do you think listing your site on local search sites brings any traffic to your website and in turn to your business? I have found that these sites do not bring much traffic. I want to know whether I am alone who thinks this way or there are other who think the same. Thanks for any replies.

For sure, listing your business at local sites brings traffic and improves your online reputation with positive reviews as well. However, keep in mind, you are listing your site at renown business databases or listing places like the following:
Google Business Listing
Yelp
Scangator.com
Mant
Sitejabber
Facebook
Merchant Circle
Hopefully, listing your business site at these forums will help you to get traffic but it is a slow process, you should be panic to grab traffic as well.

Good question Pat!
The short answer to your question is yes. You do get traffic from local search sites/online directories and should list your dealership's website on them.
Also, to help you out, I made a quick list of the top 10 directories I'd recommend listing your dealership on:
While this isn’t an exhaustive list, it serves as a great starting point for your dealership. Just remember to submit consistent and accurate NAP (name, address, phone number) data for each directory. Remember, all of your directories should have the exact same NAP information. This will help with your dealer's local SEO.
I actually wrote more about this and how Google My Business and local SEO can benefit your dealership when used and optimized correctly. You can read about it here: How Local SEO and Google My Business Can Benefit Your Dealership.
