"Seek not to change the world, but choose to change your mind
about the world. What you see reflects your thinking. And your
thinking but reflects your choice of what you want to see."
— Quote from A Course in Miracles
"Do a little more than you're paid to. Give a little more than you have to. Try a little harder than you want to. Aim a little higher than you think possible, and give a lot of thanks to God for health, family, and friends."
"If you have health, you probably will be happy, and if you
have health and happiness, you have all the wealth
you need, even if it is not all you want."
— Elbert Hubbard
"No matter how bad someone has it, there are others who have it worse. Remembering that makes life a lot easier and allows you to take pleasure in the blessings you have been given."
"The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make
ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy.
The amount of work is the same."
— Carlos Castaneda
"I am grateful for all of my problems. After each one was overcome, I became stronger and more able to meet those that were still to come. I grew in all my difficulties."
"Slow down and enjoy life. It's not only the scenery you miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where you are going and why. "
~Eddie Cantor
#12 Share A Smile The Talmud instructs us: "Greet each person with a friendly smile" (Avot 1:15).
When you smile to someone, the recipient of your smile gains, and you increase the number of your friends. He is likely to smile back and this will increase your own positive feelings.
(Tifferet Yisrael; Rabbi Pliskin's Gateway to Happiness, p.137-8)
"Always dream and shoot higher than you know you can do. Don't bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself."
"We are at our very best, and we are happiest, when we are fully
engaged in work we enjoy on the journey toward the goal we've established for ourselves. It gives meaning to our time off and
comfort to our sleep. It makes everything else
in life so wonderful, so worthwhile."

The Worry Chart
40% of all things we worry about never happens
30% have already happened and we can’t do anything about them
12% needless worries about health
10% petty miscellaneous issues
8% real worries – ½ we can do little about, the other ½ we can
If we were to keep a record of all the things we worried about during a given period of time,
we would discover, in reviewing them,
that the great majority of our anticipated problems or troubles
never come to pass.
This means that most of the time we devote to worrying,
even the constructive kind that prompts us to try to
come up with a solution to what is troubling us, is wasted.
Thus, we not only caused ourselves unnecessary mental anguish,
but also took up valuable minutes and hours that
could have been spent elsewhere.
