"The moment you commit and quit holding back, all sorts of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance, will rise up to help you. The simple act of commitment is a powerful magnet for help."
Napoleon Hill, Pioneer of Personal Achievement Philosophy
"The most common cause of executive failure is inability or unwillingness to change with the demands of a new position. The executive who keeps on doing what he has done successfully before is almost bound to fail."
"You are the way you are because that's the way you want to be. If you really wanted to be any different, you would be in the process of changing right now."
~Fred Smith
"The big lesson. The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care."
~Michael Dlouhy
You are who you decide to be at any given moment. It does not take money in the bank, a college degree, connections, experience or anything else you may be using as an excuse to be who you want to be. Simply decide. The root of the word decide means to "cut off." Just decide to cut off from all other possibilities than who you want to be. We are all human beings not doings. Decide to be who you want be and then do the things that the person you decide to be would do.
"One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" was his response. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter.""
Carrying too many yesterdays is a burden that will hinder your progress today. Live light. Let go of the past--and outrun it if it tries to chase you!
~ Tamara Lowe
"As for worrying about what other people might think - forget it. They aren't concerned about you. They're too busy worrying about what you and other people think of them."
"Everybody talks bout wanting to change things and help and fix, but ultimately all you can do is fix yourself. And that's a lot. Because if you can fix yourself, it has a ripple effect."
"Confidence... thrives only on honesty, on honor, on the sacredness of obligations, on faithful protection and on unselfish performance. Without them, it cannot live."
"If life was so easy that you could just go buy success, there would be a lot more successful companies in the world. Successful enterprises are built from the ground up."
"I am willing to put myself through anything; temporary pain or discomfort means nothing to me as long as I can see that the experience will take me to a new level."
"Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are."
"Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are."
~John Wooden
"My grandfather once told me that there were two kinds of people: those who do the work and those who take the credit. He told me to try to be in the first group; there was much less competition."
