How did you specifically hear about DealerELITE? If referred, who?

Not everyone gets approved for DealerELITE. To maintain the integrity of DealerELITE, tell us what you will have to offer once a dealerELITE member?
I started in 1995 as a salesperson at Carousel Toyota for 4 years to start my career. I left to follow my GSM from Carousel Toyota to be the Leasing Manager for Cherry Hill Nissan the friendly Giant for 3 years. I got an opportunity to return to Carousel Toyota as the Sales Manager which I stayed for another 5 years but with no opportunity to advance I had to venture out into uncharted waters. From there I was approached to be the GSM for Fred Beans Buick Pontiac GMC which I stayed for about 2 years but with a 1950's style of running dealerships I decided to leave. I then returned to the green grass of an import dealership as the GSM of Exton Nissan, but after a small stint of 8 months the dealership was sold. I decided I was done with the industry and did Financial Planning for Northwestern Mutual for about a year. But my heart is and has always been in the car business I guess you could say its in my blood. My great grandfather, grandfather, and uncle all had their dealer's license so this is all I've known my entire life and what I do best. I got the opportunity of a lifetime to be the GSM for Kelly Cadillac Saab and work for a truly professional organization that truly cares about their employees and there customers. I've now been here for over 3 years now and every year we have improved in sales and profitability. Our CSI has been tops in the country for the last 3 years we take pride in exceeding our customers expectations each and everytime! We have been recognized as a Cadillac Master Dealer the last 3 years in which less then 10% of dealers achieve this award yet alone for 3 consecutive years. It's easy to come to work when you love what you do!!
Great picture Allen! It's amazing how the car business stays in our blood from one generation to the next huh? My father was in the industry for 30 years and when I was fresh out of school, I had no inclination that I would land in the automotive industry one day. After more than a decade, it's tough to leave.
What a great history Allen, all the way back to when you were 9! AMAZING! Our industry lends itself to people with some very interesting backgrounds and "stories", I find it fascinating. Enjoy your weekend!
Allen,
I see you have a similar background to me. I was the GSM at MacCausland for 18yrs. We sold in Nov 07, and I went to work for Karr-Barth as an advisor. I stayed for a little less than 2yrs. I deeply missed the auto industry, and I was an outside advisor for a dealer in West Chester. I am looking for a new car dealership to call home who could benefit from my management experience in all areas of my past dealership. You know it is said "the car business will get in your blood, and you just can't get it our"! Let me know if I could be of service to you. You can email or leave message.
Hi Allen! Thanks so much for your friend request... I'm new to dealer elite. Perhaps you could show me around a little bit? I'm really looking forward to getting the most out of such an awesome network. So nice to meet you! -Angela
