Gail, Why Dealers Hire and Don't Train? is a magical question. Hopefully one that will keep all of us as dealer consultants and vendors busy and in business for years to come.
To get Dealers to train, like many comments have noted, some dealer are just too tight to spend a few bucks and some just don't care unless CSI is in the toliet with the manufactures reps. Many Dealers speak in fork tongue that "they provide in house training while using inept sales manager that are not good at training but just " decent desks guys". There is a difference in desking deals and training your profit center- The Sales Reps.
