Initially employed as a researcher within a specialist executive recruitment consultancy, part of Humana International, Europe's largest head hunting organisation. This involved sourcing high achievers within the legal and accountancy professions to pass on to the 17 strong team of consultants. Promoted to Recruitment Consultant in August 1994, responsible for setting up and running own desk head hunting and placing sales professionals of all experience levels with client companies in the print and packaging sector. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, responsibilities included:
Head hunting and interviewing high calibre professionals
Marketing selected sales professionals to suitable clients within a niche marketplace
Preparing and conducting presentations to clients to promote Retained Executive Search (head hunt) assignments
