This True car deal is no different than the guy down the street advertising at cost or below. It's no different than when the internet came out and people were worried everyone will come in with the cost of a car. This simply is not the case. One thing will remain the same. The best trained sales force can overcome anything. What's your thoughts?

Yes Keith they have to honor a price. If customers have a trade I just go back to retail to retail or wholesale to wholesale and hold back on the trade. That isn't new. 94% of the people do business on down payment and payments. You stay on price you loose. Stay on down payments and payments and you will make more per car. I think a lot of folks don't understand that, if you are a participating dealer who offered the car at the price, you MUST honor that price to stay on TrueCar. NOT to say someone won't beat you up with a TrueCar price . . . just wait until the advertising blitz next year . . . since TrueCar.com has displaced Cars.com as Yahoo.com's auto partner as of Jan 1 . . . and so on.
Good points everyone and I hope True Car works on getting better for everyone. I was training last week at Peterson Toyota in Lumberton NC. A women came in with this info, She had a trade so we went back to selling. We held back on the trade and so on. She signed the papers in five minutes and said she love the deal. All her info was worthless. As far as someone calling with a price I would say this. I will do what ever it takes to make you happy. Price doesn't mean anything unless you like the car. What time can you come in. No different than when the net came out. Some you give away and some you make a lot. I'am just talking about selling and not the ethical part here. Thanks everyone.
