Chapel Hill-based provider of digital marketing platform, data analysis, and client support services named to 2016 Inc. 5000
Chapel Hill, N.C. – August 26, 2016 – For the second year in a row, 3 Birds Marketing has been named to the Inc. 5000, Inc. Magazine’s annual ranking of America’s fastest growing private companies. This list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment— its independent small businesses. 3 Birds is proud to share this honor with companies such as Microsoft, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, and many other well-known names who first gained national exposure as honorees of the Inc. 5000.
"The Inc. 5000 list stands out where it really counts,” says Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “It honors real achievement by a founder or a team of them. No one makes the Inc. 5000 without building something great – usually from scratch. That’s one of the hardest things to do in business, as every company founder knows. But without it, free enterprise fails.”
3 Birds Marketing provides automobile manufacturers and dealerships with a powerful integrated marketing and analytics platform, incorporating proprietary predictive models and customer value segmentation to enable more effective and more transparent marketing communication. Inc. ranked 3 Birds #3450 with 94% revenue growth between the years of 2012 and 2015.
“After making the 2015 Inc. 5000 list in our first year of eligibility, we had our sights set on a repeat performance,” said 3 Birds CEO Kristen Judd. “Our ongoing growth is a testament to the passion, dedication, and tenacity of our team.”

Methodology
The 2016 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2012 to 2015. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2012. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2015. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2012 is $100,000; the minimum for 2015 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Companies on the Inc. 500 are featured in Inc.'s September issue. Congratulations. A top-quality newsletter can exceed the quality-and-quantity of content of the dealer's site - which tends to be mostly static. Most "newsletters" are nothing more than e-blasts of seasonal sales specials.
