With the start of the Memorial Day weekend, you need to remind your staff to be vigilant in watching the lots and be aware that the "scam" artists are all to aware of the hyperactivity on dealership lots. Everyone needs to verify that the people they are with are who they say they are. DL's are a must do to the higher than normal risk associated with traditional big sale weekends. Every year during a "long" weekend, I hear stories in the press or through the "networks" about someone from this dealership or that, where a salesperson was left on the side of the road or much worse. Remind everyone to have fun selling this weekend, it's a great time to be selling, but to follow the standard protocols of the industry. Trust but verify. Have a GREAT weekend SELLING and remember to remember those who paid the ultimate price for us to do what we love. To all of my fellow veterans, thank you for serving.
