5 Key Mobile Marketing Trends in 2015 to Continue in 2016

Mobile Internet market develops in leaps and bounds from year to year (according to app developer theappsolutions.com). 2015 can be rightfully called the year of mobile market breakthrough with impressive 22% of all online sales in the US made via mobiles. 2015 isn’t over yet. However, there are already 5 main trends that appeared during the year and are most likely to continue to be of great impact in 2016.

1. Mobile security is at risk

A couple of years ago no one cared about mobiles. Until now predominance of cyber-attacks and e-thefts weren’t targeted at mobile devices. Until 2015.

The more popular online shopping via mobiles becomes, the more people provide personal payment info by phone or tablet, thus opening a wide window for cyber thefts, who apparently also went mobile in 2015.

2.  Wearable gadgets and ‘Internet of things’

In addition to pretty much common now fitness bracelets, there is also a boom of new top-end wearable devices which could be able to control every aspect of human body, including blood pressure, sweat glands, hunger level, fatigue, etc.

3. Retail companies will go mobile once and for all

The process had already started and has reached epic heights. Today almost all major brands have a mobile app to sell products online. However, the word ‘almost’ plays a major role in the process, which is most likely to reach full potential in 2016, when even the smallest local grocery stores will sell items online and have a mobile app as well.

4. Mobile payment systems

With Cupertino’s Apple Pay, mobile payments are gradually starting to silt through into people’s minds with their promise of easiness and comfort. Google with its Android Pay picked up the idea, obviously opening the doors wide for a new mobile business of instant smartphone and tablet payments, especially offline ones.

5. Personalization

Brands are striving to offer you as personalizes services as possible. Big data about clients will enable companies to offer you a deal before you even know you need it. Mobile devices will play a major role in this personalization trend started in 2015 and which will without a doubt continue in 2016.
