There are many conferences and I have been blessed to be a part of some of them lately.  My take on Advertising is quite a bit different than most.  And so, ironically, I became involved in a conference as different as I am.  The Automotive Super Conference in Charlotte NC March 13th and 14th is yes, a Biblically based conference.  But, since I am probably the least biblically based speaker I thought I would share why this conference is "for everyone."

I was involved in this conference from day one when it was not a biblically based conference.  As Craig Lockerd transparently states, we made a lot of mistakes and cancelled the initial conference. When we attracted Dave Anderson's help to continue on with the conference and it took on the personality of his writings "By the Book", I offered to step down and let it take shape without me in the mix.  Craig and I spoke for quite sometime and he assured me that the conference was in fact "for everyone" and that included me speaking.

I find it AWESOME how this thing has grown, taken on this personality and what this group of people have offered for such a small ticket price.  I stayed involved for many reasons, but the most compelling for me was that it was just such a great line up of speakers for an incredible value.  This business has been very good to me for a long time and I love to give back to it when I can. Most of these guys and gals, including myself speaking at this conference get much much more than $250.00 for a day and even an hour.  This value just told me in yet another way it was "for everyone"  by being affordable to a wide array of people and that it may allow a dealer to bring multiple managers along.

That leads me to the point that the content of this conference is far beyond that of a digital conference. It is designed for a different audience. I am going to be at Internet 20 group in Dallas March 19th-21st The week after and expect a huge turn out there as well, but I think the audience will vary greatly and for good reason.  They are really not the same at all beyond the word "conference".  The Super conference will cover Fixed ops, branding, advertising, office, sales, synergy, hiring and recruiting, prospecting, compliance and the list goes on and on.  Again, this speaks to this is a conference "for everyone".

Also, this venue is really unique, the Charlotte Motor Speedway is a place where the meeting rooms will ignite a fire of shaking hands and kissing babies as we say. It is a little more intimate in its setting and size. It does not overlook a strip of distractions, however, a pace car ride for everyone will get the juices flowing.   This will allow people to really connect and leave with many new ideas, and friends.  Again, who does not want that?  "everyone" I know would love to leave a conference with new friends, ideas, action plans to take back to the real world and implement.  So hit the Internet 20 group in Dallas the week after, hit Autocon (I loved Autocon), hit battle plan, and digital dealer.... hit them all. I know that you will get value from every format.  But open your minds and hearts to the concept that this biblically based conference is not for Christians alone... it is put on by Christian car guys and gals who are great at what they do and will show you how to grow every department of your store.  You will not be praying for hours, but you may be writing down ideas for hours on making your store more profitable.  Craig, calls me the "The Poster Child" for the conference not being only for Christians. So take it from me, this is a conference "for everyone" Hope to see you in Charlotte.

Troy, there is humility and sincere openness in your words.  As an individual intimately involved with the conference I echo your thoughts of value and for all.  This conference is for all car guys and car gals, unless of course they are already at the pinnacle of their ability and need no further tips, tools or processes to improve further.  For the rest, simply, be there and you will leave measurably better for it.

This is a conference you don't want to miss, the price, the opportunity to hear some of the best speakers in the business, and a chance to synergize...Great business principles and ideas to be shared.  What an amazing opportunity.

So glad to hear someone point out that it would benefit everyone to hear the business principles and ideas that will be shared.  It is for everyone from every department.  Can't wait to meet all the people looking for Fixed Ops help!

Completely true Troy, $250 barely covers a good dinner, and for that you get a ton of speakers and improve your bottom line.  No Brainer!!

I think the "poster Child" thing is going to stick my friend. You're right Troy this IS for everyone, what will be presented are just principles that have been with us for thousands of years that when applied to each department can help all of us become more effective and better leaders when we return to our stores!
