Potratz, an advertising agency in downtown Schenectady, has started a new apprenticeship program this December.
The program is a 6-month training program that gives insight into the inner workings of a full-service advertising agency. Each apprentice will gain first-hand knowledge of digital marketing, content development, social media, traditional media, graphic design, video production, strategy building, website development and innovative product creation.
During the apprenticeship, participants will train to become Google AdWords Certified and may be offered a full-time position with Potratz after successful completion of the program.
“We’re filling the need as our agency continues to flourish,” said Paul Potratz, CEO and founder of the company. “Our apprentices will be able to gain the experience they need, while providing us with the talent that we’re looking for at this time.”
The company provides multiple advertising and website services to automotive clients, but is currently looking to expand into other industries as well.
The agency launched in 2003 as a pioneer of digital marketing and design services. “We’ve grown so much since the company started,” Potratz stated, “we’re always pushing to be ahead of the curve and the most innovative ad agency out there.”
