With so many great marketing tools at our fingertips in today's day and age I still can't understand why ANY dealer would run a web video, TV commercial, or radio spot without including a SIMPLE way for shoppers to convert.
I hear commercials that say "Stop in to abc motors..." or "Test drive the XYZ today at Abc motors". These run with the assumption that the buyer knows where you're at or the assumption that they're looking at the screen that shows your address...or worse these things run with the assumption that the customer will care enough to remember all of your crap when the commercial is over and guess what - MOST DON'T!
With so much technology available to you why in the heck would you 'hope' that a customer is going to do the work to track you down.
This video is an example commercial that we created for our dealer clients to see how you can implement a powerful call to action with iCall AutoLeads right in a web video like this one from our iCar Video lineup.
It's a quick 30 second spot and guess what, the entire spot shows the buyer an EASY way to get information from the dealer. In this case, the code won't actually go to the dealer since it's our keyword but you get the point.
If you're going to spend thousands of dollars doing video marketing, do yourself, and your customer, a favor and include some sort of SMS call to action. Of course I recommend our iCall tool because it's the best and you only pay for the customers who contact you but heck, you can get text stuff everywhere if you're willing to take a risk on some low dollar clunker - but it's not my money it's yours.
I know that as a 'vendor' any post really runs the risk of coming across like a commercial for our products but if it helps people get a better understanding of how to create conversion I think that's ok.
To be fair, there are a million little crummy companies that you can buy texting services from so you don't have to buy it from us. (That was my way of making this not be a digital sales pitch) That said: Nobody comes close to what we offer with iCall.
