As a dealer you always have to watch out for shiny new objects that can promise one thing but deliver something entirely differently.  I had the opportunity to sit down with the folks from AutoAccelerator and demo their new iPad app for their CRM.  To say that I was impressed is an understatement.

Not only did this app have the eye appeal that will was gorgeous; it was clean, simple, and easy to use.  You had an entire robust and full functioning CRM simplified down into the palm of your hand.  As I demoed the app I immediately started scrolling and getting to where I need to go within seconds. 

The user interface is made in such a way that the “old dogs” of the car business can easily use this tool.  Just look at the opening screen:

The app works both offline and online and therefore as a dealer and/or salesperson you don’t have to have 3G or Wi-Fi.  You can work offline and once the user has a Internet connection it will sync the work that was completed while offline.

After talking with Alicia Harris, CEO of AutoAccelerator, I heard her passion for creating a product that truly is used to speed up the sales process and not bog it down.  You can log a customer while on the lot, and already have much of the paperwork printed before you even step foot in the dealership. 

What I see is that desktops and laptops will soon be a thing of the past.  I see iPad’s replacing these due to their form factor and be anywhere and do anything ability.  AutoAccelerator’s app proves that this can be done in such a way that virtually anyone will be able to use.
