Direct Mail is not dead if you use the right approach!

With any marketing campaign it is of utter importance to hit your customers where they are. Whether that be Social Media, Digital Media or Traditional Media. To brand your message you have to develop a trust in what you are marketing by making it familiar to your customer because they have seen the message enough to trust it purely from being seen. If you are marketing to them all around their digital footprint using Google and Facebooks Algorithms you are on the right track. I was never a fan of Direct Mail. I liked the Radius Marketing program and believed in it so much I went to work for them after leaving the Dealership side of the business. It is a turnkey program that is so much more than just mail. Based on a 10,000 piece mailer with digital:

  • 1% response ratio = 100 leads (Average 1.5% nationwide)
  • 60% appointment ratio = 60 appointments
  • 75% show ratio = 45 confirmed, qualified buyers in your showroom
  • 30 - 50% closing ratio = 15 - 25 Deliveries per campaign ($2,000 avg. Gross per Sale)

 

That to me as the person in the Dealership placing all the buys for media was bang for my buck. 15-25 cars per month and all we had to do was welcome them, stips in hand at the store and put them on a vehicle? We have all our sold and marketed customers in our database so it certainly helps us to know what our program sells per campaign. It's working!

I like that you can predict ROI so well  -  that is usually very difficult - so you must have a track-record with consistent results.I will certainly look into it.

It could certainly have a 30 second short video incorporated. At this point with the way this is designed it works your digital footprint to brand and draw the customer. That is a discussion we have had about it though.
