It's no secret that those of us who train for The Dealer Resource Group, spend a ton of time on the road.  A lot of windshield time can make you listen to anything on the radio to just hear some noise and stay awake.  That happened as I was driving 11 hours to get to our last assignment.

           I'm hitting the seek button on my rental's radio for what seemed like hours when it finally found a station.  I heard that familiar twang of the guitar and knew this was a country station.  Oh well, it's better than static.  Then, a song came on that I couldn't relate the words to.  That is, until it got to the chorus.  

           "Every storm runs out of rain," the artist sang.  I couldn't tell you any of the other words, or even what the next songs were on that station.  Those words kept going around in my head.  I couldn't stop thinking about them no matter what I did to change my focus.

           But, they make perfect sense.  Here we are in a business that has had its share of tough times over the last few years.  For us, it was probably not the best time to launch a new training company.  But, when you think about all the things that life can bring right into your face, the words to a simple song apply.  "Every storm runs out of rain."

           No matter what challenges we face, there comes a time when the challenge passes us by.  Good times and bad, it's all temporary.  No matter what, we always have another chance to get things right, have a better month, be a better person, or whatever you feel has been lacking.  

           By the same token, I think those words also share life's good times.  The business is getting better.  Those of us who persevered will get our reward.  But, it will only last a certain amount of time and then it will be gone.  Are you ready for that?  

         "Every storm runs out of rain."  And every dark night opens to a dawn.  We just have to be ready for both.
