The # 1 reason to sign up with the factory is employee retention. The internal customer (the employee), is most important. Do dealers truly understand this point? In my professional opinion, when the internal customer (the employee), has total confidence, from the F&I handoff, to the service department, everything comes together. The employee feels secure about the customers protection, for their vehicle. Now, the customer never suffers, service retention goes through the roof and everyone buys in. The claim process for service becomes very simple. Put the claim in and it comes back aprroved in a short period of time. The service staff tells the customer: "You're are all set. Your loaner vehicle will be ready in just a moment." The customer is now highly satisfied. At this point in time, if there are any aditional services that need to be performed, it's an easy explanation. The satisfied customer will pay for the service. Oh, by the way, dealers, that think the factory programs are too much, might be right. BUT REMEMBER, the factory has to be profitable, and timely on claims. If we back the factory, the factory will back the dealers. In my professional experience, Nissan's claims process, is virtually effortless. The factory pays on a timely basis, and never leaves OUR team, discouraged or disapppointed. As a dealer, I always ask myself this question: "Do our customers want the best protection for their new purchase?". Now with that in mind, "Ask your customers the same question." I know, from everyday experience, people will pay more for the right product.

Now for the dealers who will not change from re-assurance programs for their own reasons, ask yourself this, How much less is your company worth? Oh yes all of the contracts that are out on the street are a liability. Ask your accounting firm. (It's  a huge eye opener.) Factory backed programs will not effect your companys' blue sky dollar value. Re-assurance programs will, that is a fact.

Strong motivated teams, always perform at great levels. The team that looks at the WHOLE picture, has a huge edge in the market place.
