I think dealers would like to see the program succeed, as Google has always been about skipping the middleman and getting the consumer to the seller. That said, Google does not have a great track record outside of search. (Wave, Buzz, Audio Ads, Page Creator, Base, X, Catalog, Video Player, Answers, Dodgeball, Notebook, Jaiku... just to name a few. Not to mention that so far Google+ is a real yawner...)
