For all you car dealers and auto wholesalers that buy/sell a majority of your used vehicles from auctions, are most of your vehicles Front Line Ready? I know from experience that the answer is no. For most dealers, used vehicles are checked over by the service department for inspection on the engine, frame, brakes, and tires, they then go to the body shop to have dings, dents, scratches fixed, then they have to be detailed. If you have all these services on site or close by you have to farm it all out to various vendors. For smaller used car lots, this is especially true. Even the larger dealers benefit because for them, finding a consistently reliable source of units can be difficult.
With some auctions no sale rates in CA and FL sometimes reaching 50% and other online dealer sources having a high return rate, the need for Front Line Ready vehicles is ever increasing.
All this is part of dealers weekly routine with incoming used cars. As a car dealer, used cars brought onto your lot that are front line ready save your entire operation time, time money and ideally gives you a higher turnover rate on your inventory. Each day your used car inventory is not sitting on your lot ready to be sold, the quicker your vehicle ages.
Lenders who guarantee the vehicles to be Front Line Ready are worth dealing with. Imagine making a wholesale offer(s) online directly to a lender who owns the unit(s) and they accept it. By having the lender call you directly, you cut out much of the unnecessary banter. You then can set up a time to inspect the vehicle and test drive it, more so than you would at a traditional auto auction sale.
Real bank owned repossessions should have:
1. NO Fram Damage.
2. 89 point inspection and safety check completed.
3. Brakes and Tires at 80% or more.
4. CarFax.
5. Full Detail.
