How Nineteen Patriots Made a Difference in the Auto Industry

IIt is not my job, it is my duty to be inspired and inspire others.  Since my early twenties, I have said final farewells to nineteen brave patriots, heroes and friends.  Each paid the price for freedom before the rigors of life made them old and gray.  These are nineteen friends that I had planned to grow old with, but instead I honor their sacrifice to trade in their future as an investment in my freedom.  Eternally young, never forgotten and always cherished are those nineteen.

It is those nineteen patriots that have become my vigor to wake up each day and carry on their memory by living a life worth living for.  I am just a human and not a super hero, but I choose to live a life out of a duty to make a difference each day, one person and one moment at a time.  The sacrifices of the nineteen have given me the privilege to carry on their dreams by helping others fulfill theirs.

There are days that surprise me with the opportunities to learn something new about the world I live in.  Recently, I had one of those days.  After a simple act of website dusting and cleaning, I discovered a space in time where I had no clue of the impact that my career has on the lives of others.  The website overhaul included the tasks of updating the testimonials from some of The Manus Group's sales performance training graduates.

In the past, I cut and pasted testimonial text into our website.  For whatever happenstance, this latest update did not have testimonials in a document in which I could cut and paste.  With the rolling of my eyes, I began the tedious task of typing each testimonial.  It was this act of typing that slowed me down and forced me to take notice of what was being said about a service I had taken for granted.

I have always understood that our services help a dealership improve their sales department, but I found myself discovering how our The Manus Group’s Sales Staff Recruiters change the lives of everyday people.  Each person was making an investment in their future and making a sacrifice for their own personal freedom.  Each story was inspiring and gave a hint of a life in which dreams were coming true.

At that moment, I was reminded of my duty to inspire others, so that others may inspire me.  For those who have given their lives for me, it is my privilege to change the lives of others for the better.  Sometimes I need to slow down and take assessment of the things I take for granted.  On the other side of fear, is freedom!

Thanks, Marsh.  I am always so surprised at the opportunities I have to make a difference, to pay it forward and to alter a pathway.

Absolutely beautiful!! Stephanie what a heart-felt post. I believe in paying it forward, there are many who paved the way for us and it is our obligation to blaze the trail for those we are now leading. You are making those 19 life-long, eternally young friend proud. What is a sacrifice to some is done out of love from you. Great, great job.
