Yesterday people received my latest Sales Tip that was completely blank!
While my pride would blame "the internet” or “blame “someone else” the honest truth is I setup a twice weekly sales tip, but didn’t get around to writing it before it was sent automatically!
I believe if you want to win in sales longterm, and build lasting relationships with “guests”, you must take full responsibility for your actions.
Integrity is all too rare in most sales industries, so when you do show integrity and honesty to your customers your point of difference becomes much greater and you sleep a lot better too!
I had a friend growing up who would tell so many lies, he started to believe them!
Customers aren’t silly, and most can see straight through your “sales talk” and silly promises.
So this week…
- When you find out that your customer’s car has had a transport delay… Tell them immediately!
- When you find a scratch on a car… Don’t blame others, just take it as your responsibility to do something about it!
- When you say you’ll call or email a customer and you forget… Take responsibility and apologise!
People don’t believe what they hear, they believe what they see!
