I like a business networking event just as much as the next man but in the week commencing July 12th, automotive business event organisers have given UK automotive executives a scheduling headache.

Monday July 12th sees automotive technology giant Bosch hosting a gala dinner for automotive executives, heavy weight fleet decisionmakers and media types at Luton Hoo.

On Tuesday July 13th Millbrook hosts the e-Safety challenge while on Wednesday the 14th the conference facilities at Twickenham Rugby stadium play host to the 2010 Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership Conference .

Rather irritatingly for big fleet operators, day one of the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership Conference takes place on the same day as the excellent 2010 ICFM (Institute of Car Fleet Management) conference which is being held at the BMW Mini facility in Oxford.

Following on from the conference(s), on Wednesday evening WhatCar? magazine are holding the 'WhatCar? Green Awards' dinner, also at Twickenham. This throws up yet another automotive events date clash meaning that execs for many of the carmakers and vehicle service companies will have to decide between the new kid on the block 'WhatCar? Green Awards' and the much more established Motor Trader awards which will be taking place at the same time in London's 5 star Grosvenor House, Park Lane.

For any hung-over survivors of two auto industry awards dinners on the same night, the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership Conference continues on Thursday the 15th with speakers including Graeme Sweeney of Shell International Petroleum and David Kennedy from the Committee on Climate Change.

Does anyone else hope that the organisers can compare notes for 2011 and hopefully avoid further date clashes?
