When I heard ActivEngage CEO Todd Smith jokingly call David Kain “the Silver Fox,” I thought the nickname was merely an offhand reference to his shock of alabaster hair. But the more I watched and spoke to David, the more I realized that his silvery mane disguised a man with a clever mind and a youthful heart.
With a Clinton-esque Kentucky drawl, David shared new social networking data that I – a 23-year-old social media specialist – had never even seen before. “Have you heard of this Dartitup.com? It’s like the male version of Pinterest.” Later on, the President of Kain Automotivelaughed loudly about the pop-culture phenomenon of viral hits like “Call Me Maybe” and “Gangnam Style.”
As a thought leader who blends his wealth of experience with the contemporary wisdom of a Millennial, David Kain is the perfect candidate to spearhead a roundtable discussion with a panel of experts at the 2012 GM eSummit.
The panel that David moderates covers a wide array of proven processes – from video/content marketing, to search result placement.
Kain Automotive is very much a family business. In his eSummit workshop designed specifically for general managers, entitled A Dealer’s Guide to Digital Success, David draws upon both his experience as a dealer principal in his father’s Ford dealership as well as the contemporary shopping patterns of today that he learns from his daughter and business partner, Jessica.
As he ended his presentation at the eSummit in Orlando, David asked his audience, “Was that helpful?” The response from the dealer body was thunderous applause. So call him, maybe – and check him out at his next eSummit tour stop in Las Vegas.
