SIMPLE STUPID STUFF
- If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
- Consider hiring a real estate tax guru to challenge the local assessor. The savings more than pays for the cost.
- Consider hiring a computer guru to review your DMS statement. The guru usually will find substantial savings and is worth the expense.
- When delivering paperwork to a manager or employee and they are not at their desk put the paperwork on their chair. It won’t get lost in the mess on their desk.
- Take a pressure break. Don’t burnout. Tell the dealer you need a day off to recharge the batteries. Make it a three day weekend.
- Consider leveling out office supplies and utility expense with a constant monthly standard entry. Adjust the entry upward or downward monthly.
- Keep a log to track implemented expense reductions you have recommended.
- When the month is closed and the statement is pulled, take the rest of the day off. You earned it.
- A good manager is a good checker. Don’t assume a job is getting done.
10. Check the bank account on the internet each morning.
11. Get creative. Don’t accept the usual way of doing business.
