The Director of Digital Media is responsible for planning and managing the digital marketing activities as well as oversees the Information Services goals for the Performance Automotive Group. The ideal candidate will have a degree and 5+ years of experience in digital media procurement, optimization, analysis and managing skilled & motivated teams of technology professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily management of the Information Technology Department
- Lead digital media strategy development for all car dealerships including, but not limited to, digital advertising, optimization, social media and analysis.
- Manage, train and develop digital media department staff
- Develop and manage digital media plans; negotiate and purchase media
- Maintain responsive working relationship with dealership personnel as well as with appropriate staff and vendors.
- Manage the day-to-day implementation, and optimization of campaign activities
- Develop relationships with all General Managers to determine the digital media needs of each dealership
- Good working knowledge of SEO and SEM
- Manage campaign authorizations, budgets, and reconciliation process
- Interact daily and maintain rapport with digital media Publishers (Google, Bing, local media, etc.) and website vendors (Dealer.com, Cobalt, Click Motive, etc.).
- Analyze research data and media/marketing information; issues and reports information to dealership management and appropriate staff
- Monitor and assess ongoing campaign performance; responsible for strategic analysis of campaigns
- Maintain scalable internal monthly campaign reporting
- Manage day-to-day servicing needs of clients including campaign trafficking, reporting, and follow up with any additional requests.
- Act as primary point of contact for digital media vendors
- Responsible for car manufacturer brand compliance with all digital assets
- Responsible for keeping digital marketing staff current with emerging trends and technologies relative to all aspects of digital marketing
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of digital marketing experience at a management level
- Experience managing multiple, competing priorities, duties and/or projects. Proven ability to accommodate evolving responsibilities and last minute changes
- Experience in implementing successful social media strategy
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Strong Analytical skills; ability to tie results to client business objectives
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with colleagues and vendors
- Strong written, verbal communication and negotiation skills. Good presentation skills a plus
- Experience analyzing data and market research
- Passion for advertising and technology
- Highly organized and motivated
- Media vendor negotiation experience
