There are good days and bad days. Just ask the basketball team from Butler University during the 2011 NCAA Men's Division 1 Basketball Tournement. I am sure they prepared and practiced for "The Big Event" but University of Connecticut did not win that game.....Butler lost it. The emotions from the sidelines of the court told the story. Butler is not a bad basketball team. They were able to beat the University of Florida. They had a bad day and experienced a difficult lost, but I am sure we can all expect to see them again next year at The Dance.
With that said, automotive sales teams are a lot like sports teams. You win some and you lose some. We have all seen talented teams fall apart and not play up to their potential, and we have seen mediocre teams have a magical performance. Teams that prepare are likely to host a greater number of wins, but that is not always an indicator of success.
Automotive Sales Staff Recruitment is also a large part of a team’s success. If you want thoroughbreds, then you need to recruit thoroughbreds. To attract talent, you need to discover what those individuals desire in exchange and provide it. Once you have your super stars on your team, you need to further develop that aptitude with sales performance training coupled with practice, practice, practice. If you don’t use it, you lose it!
A Sales Manager is like a coach. Seeing the “Big Picture” for your sales team is celebrating the wins, but taking the losses as an opportunity to grow that team towards greater success. Failure happens and therefore is an option. Quitting on the other hand is a choice. Discover why they had a bad day and practice, drill and rehearse for success.
Everyone has a role on the team. You can’t play all positions and have a successful team. There is no "I" in team. You must learn as an individual, but play full out as a team in order to win. It takes the whole flock to get the job done. Be a team player. Master your role. Do your job and be confident that the rest of your team is doing their job.

Stephanie, very nicely put. We've all seen very talented teams seem to fall apart and not play up to their season's potential, and we've seen mediocre teams seem to have the magical year- all of it due to the organization acting in the individual's behalf or collectively as a unit. Learn individually, win as a team.
Thanks for sharing.
