It's not necessary for most dealers to have a complete understanding of the art and science surrounding automotive SEO. What is important is realizing that whether you're doing it yourself, working together with a partner vendor, or having the vendor do all the work, your overall search (and social) strategy should be intimately tied in together to make sure you're getting the most out of it.
