This Thanksgiving holiday we traveled up to see relatives that we haven't seen in a long time.  What was most refreshing for me this trip wasn't the break from work and rest, as it normally is, but instead a conversation I had with my nephew who has just entered the industry.  We talked about all that he is learning and his goal to work his way up.  He's currenlty training to be an advisor while working as a greeter and cashier.  His excitment about the journey ahead and his appreciation of the job brought a fresh perspective for me.  He talked about how he loved greeting people and helping them on the customer service side of things.  How he is learning that his attitude with each and every client is so important and how it positively or negatively affects the outcome.  I have no doubt he is going to do well as he ambitiously pursues his career.  It was nice to come to work today carrying that fresh perspective with me as I work with our clients.  I realize, just as I'm sharing the positive influence of my nephew with you, my clients and your clients are going to be sharing their positive or negative experiences of working with us; therefore starting the day with a fresh perspective is the best way to go!
