Engine, Powertrain, and Performance

Although INFINITI hasn’t released much information, Car and Driver Magazine expect the QX55 to be powered by the same variable-compression turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that is found in the INFINITI QX50. They also expect the model to be equipped with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) with either front- or all-wheel drive.

Exterior Design

What we can tell from teaser photos is that its sloping roofline and pinched rear end will give the model a much bolder exterior design. Just like the QX50, Car and Driver believe the QX55 will have five distinct trims, each with increasing levels of equipment and features.

Interior Design

With little to no information on the interior of the QX55, we can assume that the interior of the QX55 will be well-equipped and beautifully designed with quilted leather seats, wood trim, faux-suede headliners.

Infotainment and Technology

Unless INFINITI launches a new infotainment display, we can expect to see the same dual-screen infotainment setup where the top display provides navigation information and the bottom display provides media and vehicle settings. Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto should be standard equipment.

Safety

Driver-assistance features will most likely come as standard. Features such as ProPilot Assist semi-autonomous driving mode will most likely be an optional feature.
